Pagodas in Guilin Mountains | China Vlog_05
Guilin is a beautiful town in the Guilin mountains in Guingzi region in far south china. This Guilin Mountains town has long been renowned for its romance and karst topography, surrounded by two rivers and four lakes with jaw dropping mountain views. Relatively free of air pollution, the name Guilin means “Forest of Sweet Osmanthus” because of the fragrant sweet osmanthus trees in the region. Guilin is the first city in China to be recognized as a National Famous Historical and Cultural City.  Guilin actually has an international airport.
A pagoda is a tiered tower with multiple eaves, built traditionally in South Asia then developed further in East Asia with respect to those traditions. The Sun and Moon Pagodas in Guilin stand in the water of central Fir Lake. They are also known as Gold and Silver Pagodas because of their colors at night. The Sun Pagoda is the world’s highest bronze pagoda, and the world’s highest pagoda above water. The Sun and Moon Pagodas combine culture, art, religion, and architecture, technology, and natural landscape. The Sun Pagoda Is 41m high made of bronze, while the Moon Pagoda is made of colored glaze. They stand next to each other reflecting the beauty of each other
