Tianzifang French Concession Shanghai
Tianzifang is in the French Concession area of Shanghai. It consists of arty, hip alleyways and streets, shops, restaurants, bars, design studios,  craft shops and street food. The word Tianzifang or Tian Zifang comes from the earliest recorded painter in China. A local, more recent artist named the area by adding ‘fang’ meaning mill, quarter or lane or workshop. The industrial architecture is still intact in the refurbished area you see today. Tianzifang is a amazing labyrinth and blend of old architecture, streets and alley ways mixing the old and new architecture and facilities.
Tianzifang written on it was hung over the entrance of Lane 210 in 2002.
Its a fantastic place for all the family and is definitely one of the top 10 things to do in Shanghai. So a must see.
